Coffee of the Month Club: Honduran Coffee

Coffee of the Month Club: Honduran Coffee

January 06, 2020

We are introducing Honduran SHG Cerro Azul Coffee, the exclusive for Coffee of the Month Club members.

We thought we’d start things off right for the new year with this high-quality coffee from the beautiful country of Honduras or officially known as the Republic of Honduras, located in Central America. Due to its temperate and tropical climates, Honduras produces coffees that are typically described as mild, robust, and sweet. This coffee, in particular, has notes of almond, dark chocolate, and lemon. It’s a medium roast with balanced acidity, a medium body, and appealing sweetness.

At an altitude of over 1,350 meters, the exotic environment possesses excellent conditions for producing high-quality coffee in the northwest region of Siguatepeque, Honduras, COHORSIL.

Honduras Tropical Mountain Area

From various collection centers around the area, COHORSIL gathers coffee cherries from individual farmers. The co-op performs all the processing under strict quality control, to satisfy their customers and derive increased benefits for the producers at the same time. The Cerro Azul showcases the character of Honduran Coffee and the high quality being produced from this region.
