Together We Rise: Supporting the Firefighters of Atlanta Fire Rescue

Atlanta is a city shaped by resilience.

Twice in its history, the City has been brought to the ground by fire — first during the Civil War and again in the Great Fire of 1917.

Twice, it has also risen from the ashes to become stronger than before.

So, while many embrace the peach tree as a symbol of the city, we choose to represent Atlanta with the strength of the rising phoenix. The bold imagery accurately epitomizes the spirit of the city and fire culture for this month’s Fire Department Coffee Club and Shirt Club.

This July, we’re proud to support the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation through our monthly Fire Department Clubs. For every Fire Department Coffee Club purchase, $2 is donated, and for every Shirt Club purchase, $5 is donated to support the work of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation. Whether it’s the bold, custom-roasted coffee or the limited-edition shirt, every purchase supports their programs and initiatives that uplift Atlanta firefighters.

Supporting the Personal and Professional Lives of City Firefighters

For the firefighters of Atlanta, the weight of the job is more than just physical. It’s emotional, mental, and relentless. It requires every bit of the individual, which is why they deserve a Foundation committed to supporting their personal and professional well-being.

That’s why the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation exists and has made becoming a first responder to the city’s first responders a top priority.

The Foundation cares about Atlanta firefighters, both on and off the job, ensuring that the men and women of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department have the tools and resources needed to succeed in both their careers and personal lives. That is the Foundation’s purpose and promise to the city.

Reimagining Support for City Firefighters

Under the leadership of Foundation President and CEO Taos Wynn, working alongside City of Atlanta Fire Chief Roderick M. Smith, the organization continues to grow and expand its impact through innovative and mission-driven programs and initiatives.

Today, the Foundation serves over 1,200 men and women across the city and has developed a long-term vision for sustainable firefighter wellness and success. The organization's work is streamlined through four focused impact portfolios, supporting education and housing, as well as quality of life and wellness. 

The Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation’s goal is to remain cutting-edge in its approach while continually enhancing partnerships and projects throughout the City for the betterment of the individuals it serves. 

United By A Shared Purpose

Let’s start with the coffee.

This month’s specialty roast is a blend of premium Colombian and Ugandan coffee beans, offering rich notes of dark chocolate, lemon, and clove. From the moment you open the bag and the aroma rises to meet you, this coffee will have you hooked.

The design on the bag and shirt is equally bold. The shirt features the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation emblem on the front, while the phoenix takes center stage on the back. It’s decked out in full firefighting bunker gear with its flaming wings outstretched over the background of the city of Atlanta’s skyline.
