Service is a word we think about a lot.
At Fire Dept. Coffee, “Service” is one of the core values that we hope will permeate the entire company and resonate with everyone who works with us.
It applies to everything we do, from the way that each coffee blend is skillfully roasted by hand to the way each is carefully packaged and promptly delivered. It guides us in how we treat our teammates and our customers.
If we do all of those things well, then the company is succeeding and allowing us to direct 10% of all net proceeds to serve our heroes through the Fire Dept. Coffee Foundation. This is incredibly important because first responders exist to serve others in their time of need. But sometimes, life happens and the first responders become the ones in need.
The Fire Dept. Coffee Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting groups that help firefighters and first responders who are injured on the job, mentally or physically, or who are facing other serious health challenges.
On this blog, we’ll strive to tell the stories of the organizations that we’re collaborating with — incredible groups like the Tommy Cullen Foundation and the Firefighter Cancer Network — and the positive impact they’re making on the lives of our heroes and their families.
We are always looking for new ways to serve and heroes who might need a little help from people who understand and value the sacrifices they’ve made and the challenges they may be facing. If you know of an ill or injured first responder who could use financial support or resources to aid in their recovery, fill out the form on this website to let us know.
If you’re an organization that benefits first responders in need, we invite you to reach out and tell us more about what you do and how we might be able to help.
No one knows the value of service better than first responders. It is our honor to serve them so they can return to serving others.
