Fire Dept. Coffee to Celebrate National Coffee Day at Walmart and Participate in Walmart’s Open Call Event

It’s going to be an exciting few weeks for Fire Dept. Coffee – and we’re happy to share some upcoming initiatives that we’ll be participating in with Walmart.

Fire Dept. Coffee has been invited to make a presentation to Walmart leadership during the company’s prestigious Open Call event, part of Walmart's "Investing in American Jobs" initiative. 

This event is an incredible opportunity for us, and it's a testament to our dedication to our craft and to our mission, but most importantly, to the amazing support we’ve received from coffee drinkers nationwide. 

Walmart Welcomes Fire Dept. Coffee for Open Call Event

Our founder and CEO, Luke Schneider, along with Vice President Jason Patton, will represent FDC as they share about our innovative products, our story, and vision with Walmart leaders in late October at their headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas. 

Our business model aligns perfectly with what Walmart is seeking through this initiative. All of our coffee is roasted, packed, shipped, and sold right here in the U.S.A. FDC is also certified by the National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA), and we believe we’re a prime example of a company that embodies the values of "Made in America."

However, here's the exciting part: as part of this initiative, Fire Dept. Coffee could potentially find its place on Walmart store shelves nationwide. Imagine being able to pick up your favorite FDC roast during your regular grocery run at your local Walmart!

While FDC is already available in grocery stores across the country, a presence on Walmart shelves would be a monumental boost for our company. But it's not just about our growth. It's about expanding our reach and, best of all, our ability to advance our larger mission of supporting sick or injured first responders across the United States. No matter where our coffee is sold, FDC always gives back to support sick or injured firefighters and first responders.

We’re already excited just thinking about the good we could do in our communities with Walmart as a nationwide retail partner.

Celebrating National Coffee Day at Our Local Rockford Walmart

As we gear up for this incredible opportunity, we have another reason to celebrate. On Friday, September 29, it’s National Coffee Day, and we couldn't let this day pass without sharing our love for coffee with you. 

To mark the occasion, FDC will be rolling into action with our fire truck at the Walmart Supercenter in our hometown of Rockford, Illinois, located at 7219 Walton Street. We'll be serving up free coffee from 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM, so if you’re around Rockford, make sure to swing by and enjoy a cup with us!
