“Hello, 9-1-1? … Yeah, we have a report of a suspicious package. … Wait, check that, I’m being told that it’s actually a delicious package.”
Fox Broadcasting Company sent bags of Fire Dept. Coffee for a company-wide promotion to celebrate the season the return of 9-1-1 and 9-1-1 Lone Star together on the same night with Fire Dept. Coffee.
To help generate buzz for the new seasons, Fox sent boxes of Fire Dept. Coffee to the teams at Fox affiliates across the country. Shaped like fire trucks and bearing the words “Fox Mondays to the Rescue,” the boxes wasted no time getting the attention of staff members at the local stations.
And no doubt they were even more popular when the boxes were opened to reveal three bags of some of our most popular roasts, including our Original Medium Roast, Backdraft Espresso and Decaf.
In addition to promoting the shows, the gift packages also included information about Fire Dept. Coffee and our foundation, which is dedicated to supporting first responders and veterans in need.
We want to thank the team at Fox for thinking of Fire Dept. Coffee for this special promotion. We love the idea and think it’s a great fit for these shows that highlight some of the real-life challenges that first responders can encounter on the job.
“9-1-1” premiered in 2018 and stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause and Jennifer Love Hewitt among others. It’s set in Los Angeles and follows the lives of firefighters, paramedics, police officers and dispatchers.
Set in Texas (obviously), “9-1-1 Lone Star” brings together a cast that includes Rob Lowe, Gina Torres and Ronen Rubinstein. Lowe plays Owen Strand, a New York City firefighter who relocates to Austin, Texas. Strand was his fire house’s lone survivor when the World Trade Center fell Sept. 11, 2001, and he was later diagnosed with lung cancer linked to the attacks.
“9-1-1” airs Mondays at 8pm (EST), followed by “9-1-1: Lone Star” at 9pm (EST). We’ll be tuning in, for sure, and we’ll be enjoying a cup of our favorite coffee to celebrate.
Hope you’ll do the same!
