Introducing Misozi Kopakaki, the exclusive coffee for May 2021 to Coffee of the Month Club members.
More than 800 small farmers in the Karongi District of western Rwanda have come together to make this incredible coffee. The farmers pooled their resources and knowledge, forming a coop called Kopakaki, and then joined up with a larger group of coops, Misozi, to assist in the final processing and export of the coffee.
Misozi Kopakaki is certified Fair Trade. It’s harvested from June to September at 1525 to 2400 meters before being fully washed and dried on raised beds. It has a crisp acidity, a rich body and a medium sweetness. Made with a Bourbon varietal, you’ll notice notes of honey, orange and peach when you pour your cup.
It’s a delicious coffee, the result of exceptional teamwork and a commitment to the highest-quality coffee. We’re proud to share it with you this month.
