Introducing San Vicente Coffee, the exclusive coffee for June 2023, to Coffee of the Month Club members.
San Vicente, founded by Fidel Paz in 2001, is the realization of his father Cantalicio Paz's lifelong dream. Since its inception, San Vicente has gained worldwide recognition for the exceptional quality of the coffees grown in the Santa Barbara region of Honduras. The combination of fertile volcanic soil, the unique microclimate created by Lake Yojoa at the mountain's base, and the meticulous attention to detail in quality control by the San Vicente team all contribute to the outstanding nature of these coffees.
At an elevation of 1220 meters, the San Vicente coffee beans flourish, absorbing the essence of their unique surroundings. The varietals grown include Pacas, Catimor, Catuai and Bourbon, each contributing to the distinct character of this exceptional coffee. The beans are harvested in February with meticulous care. They are fully washed and then carefully dried using a mechanical dryer, ensuring optimal moisture content and preserving the coffee's exquisite flavors.
